Sporadic 'E' and tropospheric ducting/inversion, two different types of of VHF propagation. Sporadic 'E' typically falls within 25MHz-150MHz range while tropospheric ducting or inversion has been occasionally observed down to 40 MHz, the signal levels are usually very weak. Higher frequencies above 90 MHz are generally more favourably propagated. OR 2.
