Club Crest on Clothing items - Tom VA3TS - 2024-11-01
Hello, I went to Ram trophies today to order a new hoodie with our club crest on it. Seemed like a simple thing, we've been talking about this for some time and I even have a webpage for it, but I was surprised to find that Ram Trophies claims to not have our crest on file and if we want a crest on our items, then there will be a "Digitizing" fee of $100 or so. The person did agree that if we went ahead with that, then we could have our own copy on a thumb drive to hopefully get around future problems. Who knows though, every time we get up to date, along comes an upgrade.
I wonder where all the crests came from on all the t-shirts I have now.
I told the chap I would be interested in digitizing the crest and would let the club know, but if there is no interest, then I'll call them on Monday and cancel the whole idea.

I looked at a hoodie with a zipper, it was a 20 ounce hoodie, I guess that means its heavier than others, the person said it will be a couple of weeks before he ordered them so there is time to get your order in as well. I asked for dark blue...their # 371-0096.
For a crest maybe it would be better to find someone to make a crest that can be sewn on.

I assume someone has the logo in some sort of format, even pdf, jpg, tiff etc. Why not just use an online store like https://www.tshirtelephant.com/productlist/sweatshirts/zip-up to upload the file and design your own piece on anything from cups/mugs to shorts to hoodies. I have used this before and had good luck. Just a thought and worth a try.
I thought Ram had our vector file and they were the place to go... I guess not.

i found a company online called Patches.ca.and got a quote for 150 pieces it can be iron on,its embroidered round 3".
it will be $275.74.that works out to 1.83 each.
