An excellent turnout tonight with 19 stations on the air, lots of great conversations. I was set up for 3.783mhz but due to activity we moved down the band 3.761 My Als-600 saw that as too much of an swr change and shut off automatically. What I should have done is to get one of the stations on frequency, to hold the frequency while I retuned. The antenna, a double extended zepp, is cut for 40m, but using a tuner it works fine on 80. But a bit reactive. 10 or 15 kcs change will need a tweak. |
