Fox Hund December 1st to 31st
#1
Georgian Bay Amateur Radio Club Fox Hunt

A low power Fox transmitter will be released in Owen Sound. The frequency is 146.565 MHZ
The search parameter is 6 KM radius from the 10th street Bridge
The Fox will transmit a 33 second CW message then wait for 45 seconds until the next cycle.
Get your Compass, maps and direction finder antenna and start searching?
Rules:
1) Take your time; the transmitter will be out doing its thing until the battery fails.
2) Bring a friend; learning together can be fun.
3) Use the Internet to review Fox Hunting tricks that you can add to your toolbox.
4) Be safe when you’re out there searching, respect Mother Nature and personal property.
5) Best Rule of all, make it fun.

Once you found the Fox, what you’re looking for is a poster mounted near the transmitter, do not disturb the actual transmitter or bring attention to its hiding nest, others on the hunt would appreciate it and hopefully not go missing.

The QR code on the poster will direct you to a website; provide me the title and enjoy the read.
Or take a selfie including the poster. Additional information about your hunt would be appreciated, what equipment you used, where did you start, how long it took you, who were you with.
Once you found the poster, Send me an email to ve3bqm@gmail.com or post it in the forum with details, Keep the found location to yourself.

The Fox, I will be out December 1st, find me if you can!!
