Software for ICOMs
#1
The developers of these two packages say they will give your IC-7300 (and certain other rigs) a big display and PC - based controls.

WFVIEW  https://wfview.org/  (this one is free & open source & runs on Linux)

WIN4ICOM  https://icom.va2fsq.com/  (this one costs $60US & runs on Win 7 & later)

If you try/are using one of these, please post your comments.

I have been using Win4ICOM software with my ICOM 7300 for approximately 8 months.  Not only does it provide a larger panadapter display it allows for manipulation of all or most functions through your computer.  Routinely updated and supported.  There are many other functions, audio spectrum and analyzer, 60m button, (4m and 2m as well). I enjoy having the interface.  I have not tried WFVIEW.

I also added an IF tap board inside my 7300 that allows me to run an SDR through the same antenna.  I can talk on one band (check in to a net) while monitoring a frequency on another band.
