Just came across this post in CWops in Groups.
Thanks to Google Translate:
Dear compatriots!
This morning, Russian President Putin declared war on Ukraine.
As Hitler once did, the Russian attack took place early in the morning, when Ukraine was resting peacefully before the working day.
Explosions erupted in many cities, including military units, warehouses, infrastructure and air defense. The occupiers used planes, helicopters, drones and cruise missiles that flew from Russia, Belarus, Crimea and Transnistria. At the same time, a ground operation began.
Fighting is currently underway, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine are repelling the aggressor.
The LRU informed international amateur radio organizations about Russia's military invasion of Ukraine. To date, there have been many reports from radio amateurs around the world in support of Ukraine.
Follow the news from news agencies.
Please be informed that due to the imposition of martial law, the use of amateur radio stations is prohibited for 30 days. (Decree of the President of Ukraine № 63/2022 of February 23, 2022)
The LRU Executive Committee is working out and agreeing on the possibility of exchanging operational information. Radio frequencies will be reported additionally.
For messages, please use the e-mail address uarlinfo@ukr.net, lru-25@ukr.net
We will win!
Glory to Ukraine!
Executive Committee of the LRU

The band was in good shape. Bernie and I stayed on frequency and we were joined by G0EVY, Dave from Central England. He uses 3.788 nightly for DX and heard us on frequency. We may want to consider this for future.

UPDATING WINDOWS? BEWARE |

There is new malicious malware masquerading as a Windows 11 upgrade offer circulating. If you're running Win 10 and receive an attractive offer to upgrade to Win 11, make very sure it's actually from Microsoft before you click DOWNLOAD.
If you get infected it will steal all of your private info it can find on your system, e.g. passwords, credit card #s, etc., and send them to its home base.
Here's the story:

HAM RADIO WITHOUT THE RADIO |

Just became aware of "hamsphere", a clever simulation of ham radio over the internet using VOIP. Runs on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android. Not actually ham radio so no licence is required.
A subscription costs about $45/year for the basic software transceiver, and there is a catalog of (software) accessories which have a one time fee.

I'll probably stick to emitting RF though :-)
