Hamshack Hotline (HH) is a FREE dedicated voip telecom service for the Ham Radio community. Typically, phones are established in hamshacks, EOCs, Clubs & club members, ARES, and other Ham related areas and functions. It is not the intention of HH to replace traffic carried over radio in an emergency or other tactical operation, but rather to augment it, by offloading managerial tactical operations and providing a full duplex path for such communications when spectrum is occupied, conditions diminished, or otherwise unavailable. HH also supports FAXing of information (with appropriate equipment) which allows tactical offices to share documents & data between tactical locations. In a non-tactical use, HH is an effective resource for off-air troubleshooting when you need to coordinate a troubleshoot of a radio circuit off-air and between multiple SMEs. In addition to all this, conference bridges on the HH network allow large groups of Hams to coordinate & meet in real time anywhere in the world.
Getting on board HH is easy! Just acquire a supported SIP capable phone (our network prefers to register hardware phones first), and open a ticket once you have your phone. If you have one of the phones on HH Supported Endpoints, then also include a picture of the Phone’s MAC address for super easy provisioning. Before joining HH, please read and understand our HH Covenant If you have any questions, our FAQ’s in knowledge base area on our help desk may help, if not – feel free to open a ticket on our help desk.
Cisco SPA 303 IP phones are available from Al Dee (VA3DZZ) for $35 plus shipping. Theses are not Power Over Ethernet phones so a power cord will be required for an additional $15. Al can be contacted at adee41@gmail.com or 519-829-9696.
I know several members have purchased one of those cute little nanoVNAs. They are a powerful design and diagnosis tool. I found an article which describes practical techniques for using a VNA for various tasks, like measuring inductors & capacitors, characterizing filters & chokes, etc.
The article is based on using a different VNA (MiniVNA) and its PC software, but the techniques apply equally to the nanoVNA & its NanoSaver PC software.
In my first post I had attached the original article. That violated the author's copyright, which we should not do. The copyright gives permission for personal use only, not re-publication.

The following suggestions will reduce the difficulty in matching an antenna with a tuner:
1. Never center feed a half-wave multi-band antenna with a high impedance feedline that is close to an odd multiple of a quarter-wave long.
2. Never center feed a full-wave antenna with any feedline close to a multiple of a half-wave long.
3. If a tuner will not tune a multi-band antenna, add or subtract 1/8 wave of feedline (for the band that won't tune) and try again.
4. Never try to load a G5RV or cente fed dipole on a band below the half-wave design frequency. If you want to operate an 80 meter antenna on 160 meters, feed either or both conductors as a longwire against the station ground.
To avoid problems matching or feeding any dipole antenna with high impedance lines, keep the lines around these lengths
[ The worst possible line lengths are shown in brackets ]:
160 meter dipole:
35-60, 170-195 or 210-235 feet.
[ Avoid 130, 260 ft]
80 meter dipole:
34-40, 90-102 or 160-172 feet.
[ Avoid 66, 135, 190 ft ]
40 meter dipole:
42-52, 73-83, 112-123 or 145-155 feet.
[ Avoid 32, 64, 96, 128 ft ]
NOTE:
Some trimming or adding of line may be necessary to accommodate higher bands.
WARNING:
To avoid problems, a dipole antenna should be a full half-wave on the lowest band.
On 160 meters, an 80 or 40 meter antenna fed the normal way will be extremely reactive with only
a few ohms of feedpoint resistance. Trying to load an 80 meter (or higher frequency) antenna on
160 meters can be a disaster for both your signal and the tuner. The best way to operate 160 with
an 80 or 40 meter antenna is to load either or both feedline wires (in parallel) as a longwire. The
antenna will act like a "T" antenna worked against the station ground
Taking the antenna tuner approach is not a good idea when you are using coaxial cable under high (greater than 3:1) SWR conditions. The tuner may provide the 50 ohm match to your radio, but the mismatch and high SWR still exists between the antenna tuner and the antenna! This translates to high losses in the coaxial cable.

- What do you know about it? Have you used it? What are your experiences OR open mic.
- Bonus question - Look up www.aprs.fi and see if you can identify a local digipeater or igate.

You can use SD or SDHC cards up to 32 GB (this is in the manual). Larger cards come formatted exFAT which won't work in the 7300.
If you're having trouble with a card, try the free SD card formatter that's downloadable from the SD Card Association (available for Win & Mac only, no Linux version ). https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter/
